Pullman Liverpool

Stylish, contemporary and super welcoming are some of the words I’d use to describe the Pullman. A brilliant location with knockout views and landmarks every way you look, this venue will really wow your groups. Sealing the deal are the really nice bedrooms, fab meeting rooms and a destination restaurant serving really amazing food. Go and see them soon – you’ll really love the place, as will your clients.

Located on Liverpool’s historic waterfront, the Pullman Liverpool is a 4 star luxury hotel with bags of style. Boasting 216 bedrooms, three small meeting rooms and a fantastic Wheelers of St James Marco Pierre-White restaurant – you couldn't be better placed for the city centre, Albert Dock and especially the Echo Arena, BT Convention Centre and the Exhibition Centre Liverpool

Distance & time from nearest railway station: Lime Street Station is located 2 miles away – 10 mins by car
Official star rating: 4 star luxury

Built in 2015 and opened in 2016, the Pullman Liverpool stands right on the banks of Liverpool iconic River Mersey, just a stone's throw away from the wonderful Albert Dock. It really is the perfect location as it's close to John Lennon Airport and Lime Street station, providing easy access – even if travelling by road, with a car park right next to the hotel.

Another really strong selling point of the hotel is it’s location which is slap bang in the middle of the Echo Arena, BT Convention Centre and the Exhibition Centre Liverpool – so getting to those venues is super easy. Especially as you don’t even have to go outside to access them, due to the fab link bridge inside the hotel which gives delegates direct access to the ACC Exhibition centre and the other two venues – although access always has to be arranged in advance, for security reasons.

The reception desk here at the Pullman is the epiphany of style. Check-in is handled by the super friendly staff in a really relaxed manner and without the need for a traditional reception style counters – the Pullman is way cooler than that. I loved it.

What strikes you about the lobby is the sheer size of it – containing the reception area, the connectivity lounge and the fabulous Wheelers of St James Bar & Restaurant it really is a glorious space - with huge windows, overlooking the concourse to the ACC and Convention Centre and 10 seconds walk from the River Mersey.

Parking: There are various large car parks right next to the hotel, the nearest one is a council owned pay and display car park that charges £15.00 for 24 hours.

Coach / Bus Pick-up Location at hotel: Coaches and taxis can pull up directly outside the hotel entrance. It is a private road and the only vehicles here are for the hotel or for drop offs at the ACC.

Number of bedrooms: 216

Bedrooms: There are three different types of bedrooms at the Pullman Liverpool – 162 Standard rooms, 36 Deluxe rooms and 16 Executive rooms. In addition to this it has two suites as well (the Executive suite and the Junior suite)

I stayed in a Deluxe room and it was excellent – 55" flat-screen TV (streamed movies are free of charge and you can even sync your Netflix account to the TV – amazing!!), Bose sound speaker, fab wet room / bathroom and much more. And as for the view – it was knockout! Looking over the Mersey, the Albert Dock, both cathedrals and the three graces – wow! One of the best views in a hotel room I’ve ever had – a real wow factor!

Number of floors: 8

Business centre: Although not a dedicated business centre, there is a Connectivity Lounge on the ground floor which has plenty of booths to work from and three PC for guests to use. If you are staying in an executive room, there is also an i-Mac to use in the Executive lounge on the 2nd floor. In here you'll also find various snacks, beverages and quite a few places to work or relax. A really chilled atmosphere.

Wi-fi: Yes – 5g throughout the hotel and it is excellent. Easy access with a simple password.

Fitness gym: Yes, there is a decent sized gym in the hotel on the 2nd floor – with a mixture of cardio and free weights. 24 hour access is permitted.

Spa & Swimming Pool: No

RESTAURANTS & BARS
Marco Pierre White's 'Wheelers of St James' bar & restaurant dominate the ground floor of the hotel – it has 120 covers and it also hosts breakfast each morning. The open plan kitchen and chefs table were particular highlights as well as a semi private PDR at the end of the restaurant. I prefer PDR’s like this so that you still get the atmosphere of the restaurant.

They also offer the unique ‘Vinoteca’ which is exclusive to Pullman – This is a unique wine tasting concept, allowing them to store and serve high quality wines by the glass, due to their ability to maintain the wines’ quality even after opening. I love this concept and would be great wow factor for your groups.

We had dinner in Wheelers during our stay and the food was out of this world, as you would expect. The steak was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely should be one of your destination restaurants in Liverpool.

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS

There are two separate meeting rooms in the hotel or three when you open up the retractable wall and combine them as one big room. They are all located on the first floor and are really easy to get to.

Registration is generally done on the foyer area on the first floor – this area is also great for coffee breaks and lunches, depending on the size of your group. Registration can be done on the ground floor on the hotel but it is generally easier all round if it's done on the first floor.

Loading in access for AV companies / suppliers would be through the main hotel entrance

The Mersey Room
This room is created when the retractable wall is removed between the Kings and the Albert rooms to become one large space. It is ideal for small conferences, group dinners and networking events – it has large wall to ceiling windows with views of the big wheel at Albert Dock and much more.
