Once inside the grounds, there is ample parking in front and round the side of the hotel, giving easy access to reception. Once inside, you are immediately hit by a really tastefully and stylishly decorated lobby area, complete with really friendly reception staff. This area was one of the parts that benefitted from the £2M refurbishment and it has been done really nicely. I loved it.

From the lovely hotel lobby it is really easy to access all other parts of the hotel, including the bedrooms, meeting rooms, leisure facilities and the rest of its grounds

RESTAURANTS & BARS
Just off the lobby is the refurbished Catesby Bar which is really nice and enjoyed having a bit of lunch and catching up on email in there. There is also a really nice private dining room called the Cedar room in this area too – with plenty of room for 40 diners. In the actual bar itself, there are lots of several types of seating including tall tables with stools, easy chairs and more traditional tall tables and stools. Worth pointing out that there was a nice pool table and football table in there too – loved those!

Through the other side of the lobby is the fab ‘Steam, Bake & Grill’ restaurant (220 covers) which is home to breakfast service, lunch (for conferences) and dinner in the evening – it also has a nice terrace outside too for BBQs / drinks receptions. I really liked the feel in here as there was tons of natural light and lots of mixed seating. For dinner I had amazing service and fantastic food – trust me, it was excellent!

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS
The hotel has 61 meeting rooms in total, so there is something for everyone here. A lot of them are smaller syndicate rooms – perfect for training or to use as breakout rooms. The bigger rooms: The County Suite, Winchester, York & Windsor rooms, also provide lots of opportunities and are really flexible. There is also a very nice meeting/private dining room in the Golf club house called The Staverton Suite – this is separate to the main hotel building and can seat up to 100 people with it’s own bar and outside seating for 80 people on the patio area, perfect for BBQ’s and Hog Roasts with views over the golf course

With each ‘zone’ in the hotel, is a really nice area for your groups to take coffee (from freshly ground coffee machines), relax and take in some snacks. We particularly loved the ‘Burr & Co’ area on the ground floor which is used regularly by the groups in the County Suite.

Another great touch was the dedicated member of staff to greet your delegates as they enter the main reception, to direct them to their appropriate meeting room. I liked this - a really effective way to extend a warm welcome to everyone.

It is worth pointing out that all meeting rooms at Staverton follows the excellent ‘Smart Space’ ethos as with other De Vere hotels – a nine point set of values and service features that they all adhere to meticulously. A fantastic initiative.

Meeting Space Highlight: The County Suite
The fab County Suite is one of the main selling points of the hotel, from a conference perspective. It benefits from its own private entrance, which can lend itself really well to a red carpet for a glamorous arrival for your delegates, which is always nice!

Once inside, the Country Suite lobby is an excellent place to welcome your delegates. There is an amazing built in registration desk which would certainly wow your clients, as well as three flat screen TVs mounted on the walls – perfect for branding and displaying the conference programme etc. This area is also where coffee breaks are taken and could be a home for some exhibit stands too.

As you enter the County Suite – you are greeted by a large room with a fantastic stage, complete with a large built-in retractable screen and projector (hung from the ceiling). The Suite can also split into two completely self-contained meeting rooms or be used together for larger events.

Lots of natural light, a terrace outside for breaks and super huge double doors for access (great for your AV team’s equipment or for cars) complete this terrific room. Great for med-large conference, car launches, dinner dances, awards evenings etc
