The Event Training Company launches today.

The Event Training Company’s purpose is to provide short sharp online training seminars, in public and private settings, for people from all sectors who wish to improve how they deliver their events.

The courses run across a range of subjects, but all have the following in common:

  • Developed and written by an industry professional with at least ten years’ experience.
  • Focused on one topic, across two hours.
  • Delivered online in an open meeting format to encourage discussion and healthy collaboration.

The expanding range of topics we will be offering will be partially driven by customer demand.

Our History
The Event Training Company is being formed by Guy Timson and Rob Eveleigh. They first met at a networking breakfast when Rob had just started his company, Brightelm, in February 2018.

In April 2019 Guy started to work with Rob on certain of his clients, including the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Golf Club Managers’ Association and most recently Bristol City Council’s “City Office”.

At the onset of Covid-19 it became obvious that there was a need to pivot event business offerings to include both fully online and hybrid events.

Rob and Guy decided that the industry as a whole could do with a series of “ground up” training seminars, both for those in the event industry needing to make changes to existing projects and for those launching conferences and exhibitions from scratch.
