The Roseate Reading, the only 5* hotel in the town, houses three private event rooms that can accommodate up to 60 guests.

The Cellar, The Library and Eden serve as differentiated dining experience areas that can cater to a variety of occasions, events and celebrations. The hotel’s events team delightfully goes that extra mile to ensure an unforgettable dining experience.

The Cellar at The Roseate Reading is the ideal venue for a private meeting or a dining experience. Modern and functional, the boardroom-style table and luxury chairs at The Cellar can host up to 14 guests.

The Library room is ideal for intimate meetings and private dining. It has large windows facing Forbury Square, that let sunshine waft in the area, provide warmth and illumination. An elegant fireplace sits adjacent to the windows to give the guests an intimate exposure during winters. Guests are assured total privacy, personalised service and seamless facilities. The Library also connects with the Lobby Room which may be used for a cocktail before dinner.

The Eden Room is ideal for meetings of up to 50 delegates or private dining up to 60 guests. The Eden Room has strong influences of the Biblical garden, as its walls are covered with hand painted flowers. It was originally the Berkshire County Council Chamber with a fireplace. The Eden is available in a number of adaptable configurations, offering a truly bespoke experience.

The Roseate Reading houses 23 well-appointed luxury bedrooms in the main hotel and 32 rooms and suites in the newly built and furnished ‘House’. All rooms and suites in the ‘House’ have direct access to Aheli Spa, the gym and Roasted by Roseate, the in-house patisserie & boulangerie.

Whether it is the 86,000 Italian glass beads in the chandelier that hangs from the top of the building or the plush fabrics and swanky wallpapers, our meticulous design sense is ubiquitous in maintaining an uplifted ambience. The Roseate Reading was originally Shire Hall for the Berkshire County Council.

The building, along with its wide hallways, vaulted ceilings, cornice mouldings and the original lift shaft have all been precisely restored to their original glory. To revive the old world charm of the Shire Hall, its council chamber, Eden along with its imposing fireplace and elaborate wood carvings on the doors and mantelpiece have all been restored to their past beauty.
