In our latest 'Getting to Know' feature, proudly sponsored by VisitBritain we caught up with Ben Levy to find a bit more about him. Ben is a magician and member of the Magic Circle, with 20 years of performing experience.
Q: In a nutshell, tell us about your services and the some of the events you've worked on?
A: I specialise in magic of the mind (I am a qualified Doctor of Psychology). I also perform sleight of hand. I offer close up entertainment (at receptions, networking events and strolling around tables), and also deliver bespoke corporate shows for up to 150 people.I have performed for Mckinsey, Straumann, BMA and many other corporate clients.
Q: How did you get started performing in the events industry?
A: Through my love for all things magic! This got me thinking about how to make a career out of my passion, and that was quite some time ago...!
Q: Most memorable moment when working?
A: When I was performing an intricate routine with a cup and a ball, and someone at the table decided to lift the cup and reveal the secret, just when I was gearing myself up for the 'tadaaa' moment!!!
Q: Best location you’ve worked at?
A: A huge country estate in Surrey - The Lanesborough is also a lovely hotel.
Q: If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself when you first started out?
A: Stay calm, believe in yourself- you are the product!
