Online Mental Health First Aider Online

14th December 2020 @ 10:30

Monday 14th Dec 10:00-13:00

Tuesday 15th Dec 10:00-13:30

Wednesday 16th Dec 10:00-13:00

Thursday 17th Dec 10:00-13:00

This online Mental Health First Aider Course is particularly pertinent right now where we might be concerned about ourselves or our colleagues in this challenging time.

This course is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. The training provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support.

The Mental Health First Aid England accredited course is valued at £300 RRP but we are bringing this to you for the cost of £199 + VAT per person.

It is not restricted to just those that work in the events team, this is open to your entire organisation.

MHFA England and the old 2-day course is now going to be split over 4 short sessions with some home learning. It will still result in you being MHFA trained the same as the 2-day course, just delivered differently over 4 half days.

A certificate, workbook and manual will be sent after your attendance.
Cost: £199 + VAT pp, for anyone putting on more than 4 people on the course, this can go down to £190 + VAT. Discount of £10 pp for MHFA alumni companies and Delegate Wrangler Members.

Contact us to discuss an in-house workshop for those of you that want to train more than ten mental health first aiders.

Confex Webinar: A look back on the resilience of the events industry Online

17th December 2020 @ 16:00

Join Julian Agostini and three Exhibition News Award Pioneers winners Phil Soar, Ray Bloom and Simon Kimble take a look back on the resilience of the events industry.

‘Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense’ Winston Churchill

His words seem pretty relevant to anyone working in the events industry right now. Connecting people has been the main goal of events throughout its rich history, and while we have often conflicting but very frustrating restrictions on allowing us to do what we do best, people will always find a way of gathering – it’s hard wired into our DNA.
While this is the biggest challenge the events industry has faced, it’s not the only huge challenge it’s overcome, two world wars, volcano’s and terrorist attacks. For this one hour Christmas Special we have brought together three of Exhibition New Awards Pioneer recipients to take a look back at what the events industry has already over come and to talk about how events will return.

Your key take away from this will undoubtedly be the settling of the quiet inner voice that asks the question: ‘Will live events ever return’? With all of us championing the value of face-to-face connections the way we have and a simple look back at how far the events sector has already come, it’s impossible for them not too.

Take this opportunity to pause and quieten the inner worry - bring your Christmas tipple and relax into this one hour long International Confex Christmas Special.
