Due to expansion, an exciting role has arisen for an experienced, personable and highly organised Event Planner.  This is an ideal opportunity for the right person to develop a long-term career in a reputable busy and very successful organisation.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Analysing briefs from clients about their conference desires

-Venue finding

-Negotiating rates with venues and suppliers

-Managing contracts with clients, suppliers and venues

-Invoicing clients and budget planning

-Sending regular updates to clients and maintaining client relationships

-Delegate management - creating and sending invites, booking travel, booking accommodation, sending joining instructions

-Being aware of potential new client opportunities and building relationships to gain business

 -Supporting the directors with day to day support, which will involve working on a number of projects at any one time

-Being aware of potential new client opportunities and building relationships to gain business

-Liaising with clients and delegates by phone, email and face to face

-Updating and preparing Excel spreadsheets

-Working within a team to ensure that every event is a success

-Associated administration duties

Key Skills/Experience Required:

-Experience of working in events – either within hotels, venues or a small agency is essential

-Experience in a high pressure, deadline driven role is required

-Ability to work in a team but also make decisions and work autonomously with confidence

-Experience of working with a pharmaceutical company is desired but not compulsory

-Lively and personable personality with excellent personal presentation

-The ability to liaise with people in a professional manner

-Experience working with Microsoft programmes such as Excel

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Meticulous attention to detail

-Enthusiastic team member

-Passion to work in events

-Flexible with working additional hours on site at events and away from home when required

-Full driving license and your own transport would be advantageous


This is an excellent role for an experienced and enthusiastic individual looking for an Event Planner role within a successful business. In return you will receive a salary of approximately £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Training to enable you to fulfil your role to the best of your potential will be given to you within a fun working environment.
