As part of ambitious, newly developed plans Silverstone Circuits have embarked on an evolutionary transformation of the venue with numerous other revenue streams coming on line – including a purpose-built hotel, event track hire and commercial growth outside of motor sport. Alongside the famous Silverstone circuit, the company operates a highly successful fast-based events and leisure business with a commercial, family and people orientated culture.

We have an opportunity for a Corporate Sales Executive to join us, helping to win business and increase revenue within the Corporate Sales team. Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, you will assist with creating an awareness of Silverstone as an exciting event space whilst achieving annual targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Responding quickly and efficiently to all in-coming sales enquiries and follow through within agreed timeframes
  • Quote and propose meetings and events accurately and according to agreed pricing structure and margins specified
  • Ensure all quotations are followed up and updates in accordance with set key performance indicators and all contractual agreements are met
  • Enter client details onto sales system so their record is processed properly and accurately and ensuring that we are able to report to marketing how they knew about Silverstone
  • Write proposals and convert bookings, co-ordinating all details relating to the event maintaining client contact until the event handover with the Events Team
  • Conduct site inspections (speculative and specific), upselling where possible
  • Follow up with clients post events to ensure that their event ran smoothly and finding out if they would like to rebook
  • Diarising regular client contact with clients who have enquired or booked events with Silverstone
  • Provide input and ideas into department initiatives, constantly promoting the Silverstone brand in a reassuring and professional manner
  • Undertake ad-hoc administrative tasks and duties to enable the team to reach its monthly and annual target
  • Attend network and promotional events to develop contact with potential clients and professional bodies
  • Make a minimum of 40 proactive sales calls per month, including following up with the people that you have met at the above events – introducing potential clients to the benefits of the events space at Silverstone

 Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in M&E sales
  • Proactive sales background
  • History of winning business from competitors
  • Network of M&E customers
  • Passionate and well organised professional with strong customer relations experience
  • Polite with excellent persuasive communication skills
  • An eye for detail with excellent oral and written communication
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Word and Excel computer skills
  • Flexible approach to work and hours
  • Full UK driving licence
